Feb's Futsal 7s

This is loooooooong overdue but in anyway, let's look back at this unfeatured event that the team took part in back 2 months ago...

Against Arion at home ground, Home of The Republic.

Salasiah, thinking of her next move while 2 Arion players close in.

Mim, the keeper, guiding the outfield players along with Ernie.
(Did we mention, Mim got a new pair of neat white gloves!)

Ernie, who did well defensively and caused some trouble in midfield, decides her next move.

So that's about all we have from February's Futsal 7s League 2011. Let's say, the team did well and did their best every Sunday, playing under the very hot scorching sun!

We are on twitter!

Yes, you are right! We are following the 25785million other twitter citizens and now officially, we are on twitter! Follow us at twitter.com/rpwst for news on the move too!

New Year!

Ops, the blog has been quite dead lately, busy celebrating the new year away too, like all of you! Just kidding.

Happy belated New Year to one and all and it's yet another year! Today marks the birthdays of captain Salasiah and also Jannah! The team done up a very special cut out Initial of their names with everyone's hand written wishes on it for them along with the secret birthday present. Sweet isn't it? If not for you, at least for the team! So, tonight, both Salasiah and Jannah have not only their bags to carry home, but also a huge (ok not THAT huge but yes huge) S and a huge J ANNNNND their birthday present!

So Happy Birthday to both Salasiah and Jannah and the team is back to training on the field!

The young v the old: Part III

Ok, here we go again as the young took on the old last night!

This time, the game was really interesting as we had a goal fest! 8 goals in all, with the winning team going towards the younger ones! This time, the Alumni team, also known as RPAST (RP Alumni Soccer Team) looked almost complete, with ABC (Aileen, Bernice, Catherine) coming back for the friendly, after their exams. But still, RPAST was short of 3 players and we had Sheu, Rui Wei and Charmaine who joined the team and played for them for the first 2 halves.

The game was played in 3 halves of 30 minutes and after the first 2 halves, RPAST was trailing 4-1, with the lone alumni goal coming from Utt, the top scorer for RPAST! In the 3rd halve, another top scorer for RPAST, Marj scored the 2nd consolation goal for the team!

After 90 minutes, RPWST won 6-2 over RPAST, with POL-ITE 2010 Top scorer, Fifi grabbing a hat trick, Jannah grabbing 1 or 2 and we cannot remember who scored the other goal. All in all, good game and kudos to a netball player who stood between the posts for RPAST for 90 minutes! Her nerves did show but a couple of good saves was made! Her height for netball definitely played an important part as she proudly donned a national team jersey, with a number 1 on the back! 90 minutes of fame, we like to put it.

After that, the team settled down for a good pizza time and yes, the night definitely belonged to everyone who worked equally hard during the game.

So, last game for 2010 has concluded and we look forward to 2011! In the mean time, the blog wishes everyone a Happy Merry December and Happy Holidays!

Farewell, Good Stuff and Hello!

The team had a last gathering 2 weeks ago with their all-time favorite coach, Coach Feiruz, thrown in with some good pizzas and wings. Awww......the team will definitely miss their handsome coach, as depicted by one of the drawing artist (we wonder who!) in the illustrations below:

As we can see more or less, the circled one is deemed as the handsome man! Perhaps one day the team will bump into coach Feiruz again, you'll never know.

Also, to further do themselves proud, the team won a Service-Learning Award earlier in the week during the annual Service-Learning Awards! Not only was an award won but also massive vouchers and prizes!

The team comes together to pose with their award, held by Jannah.

Sheu, Samantha, Mim and Nina pose proudly with their lucky draw winnings above.

Yep, all 4 ladies were definitely having a lucky night, winning vouchers from the lucky draw!

Last but not least, the new team committee was voted for just yesterday and.....the newly appointed commitee members are..... *drum rolls*

Captain: Salasiah
V-Captain: Sheu
Team Manager: Sarah

Congratulations to Team SSS (coincidentally all their names start with 'S') in their new appointment for the coming year! Definintely they will be looking to leading the team to a super, sexy and sweet year ahead of them!

That's all we have for you this week!
