An interview with 'Bekah'

We are in the mid month of January and how is everyone doing? We definitely hope it has been a good start to your year so far!

Remember the special interview post we said we would be having some 2 months back? Well, the time has come! We have set up an email interview with a very special Sports Trainer for the team, Rebekah Marie who is also known as 'Bekah' by the team.

Just a brief information about her. She is a 3rd year student at School of Sports, Health and Leisure, specializing in Sports in Exercise Science. She is the one who manages all the injuries and any players who gets injured on and off the field.

We took some time to ask her some questions...

RPWST: How did you get involved in being a sports trainer for the team?

Bekah: I was helping some players tape their ankle during one of the training session and from there i was recommended to Fazilah (staff advisor for the team)

RPWST: What was the biggest challenge you have faced so far?

Bekah: The biggest challenge was the packed training schedule the team had (for and during polite season) as a number of players were down and having to find ways to help quicken the players recovery was a little challenging.

RPWST: Did you end up loving the game of soccer?

Bekah: Honestly, yea I ended up loving the game of soccer, as I tend to know how the game is played and what are the different rules and of course kicking some balls around with the players also makes me want to join and learn soccer.

RPWST: What was the best memory/moments throughout your involvement with the team?

Bekah: Best memory/moment would be being there with the team throughout the Youth League as well as their POL-ITE games and all the other games, always there to give them my support despite the wins or loses from the game/s and rendering my help with their injury as I know that they have been working and training very hard to achieve what they want, and seeing them play and then laughing it out after games or training.

This team i would say is the best as they have become a group of friends who would simply make your day with their smiles, laughter, silly dances and songs.

RPWST: Do you hope to be assisting the team again any time soon?

Bekah: I wouldn't mind being RPWST's sports trainer again.
