The blog apologises for the very late update as the blog tis the season as well!
So, that was it! After 2 soccer sessions or clinic, they had a competition on the Carnival day and matched up against each other! They definitely had a whack of a fun and as Christmas makes it's way in a few days, Santa Claus made his way to the Carnival as well to give out goodie bags to all the good boys and girls!
While it was the last day that the RPWST players would see them, it was also the same for the Admiralty Care Corner children and they would miss their coaches...aww...
So, pretty much it, the kids had good fun and RPWST looks forward to reaching out to the community where possible!

Krazier Kids!
It's the 2nd day of the clinic today and the kids more or less practice the same basics they did in their first ever session or rather, we would like to say that 2 of the stations were slightly improved to make it more exciting for the kids!
So the day was pretty much summed up with fun and more fun (despite some of the kids being a handful and stubborn...) as they gear up to their Soccer Carnival come Thursday!

Kall 'em Krazy Kids
Well, the kids are not mentally krazy but they were krazy and all hyped up (well, mostly) during the Soccer Clinic conducted by RPWST. After the one and a half hour session ended, one of them asked what is the usual size of the field in a normal game play and how big is a normal goal post! The kids are aged 7 - 12 years old but hey, they are getting curious about soccer at their age which is good!
The mixture of boys and girls learned the basics from their coaches this evening, ranging from stopping the ball to heading the ball. At the end of their first session, they played 2 halves of 3 minute game with each trying very hard to get a touch of the ball with their feet. Needless to say, they had a jolly good time!
Not too bad for their first lesson and all of them definitely behaved better than the RPWST when they rehearsed their session (days before the clinic) and acted as a handful of kids to test the 'coaches' (We must say that alot of energy was used in the act). The kids learnt alot and when they were asked what they learnt in post-session 1, one of them proudly said the most dangerous move in soccer, "Slidekick!".

Boots Donation Drive
At this point and again, in conjunction with Human Rights Day, a total of 20 pairs of boots and shoes alike have been donated and the team is only another 4 quarters away from reaching their goal! It has only been the one and only day for this donation but with 20 pairs donated, that's considered making 20 girls an inch away from reaching their dreams!
Here Atiqah, Norlyn, Captain Nina, Yi Wen and Farhana show their support for Human Right #24: The Right To Play, with some message tags from the shoe donors.
A supporter leaves a message.
Some of the boots donated.
Mary leaves her message on the tag.
The messages signed by the students.

So, that's pretty much it from the donation drive and Human Rights Day! Remember, everyone has a human right. You even have the right to scream your house down if you want to! Nah, we're just kidding. Just don't blame us if your house goes really crashing down.

Tis the season to Give
As Christmas draws near in 2 weeks time, the team is going to conduct a Soccer Clinic for a group of kids age 7-12 years! The team has been busy of late, planning up the little fun drills for the kids to ensure that they do have plenty of fun!
Apart from that, the team would be doing a boots donation drive in conjunction with Human Rights Day on 10 Dec 2009. The donated 2nd hand boots will create some smiles in the young girls in Cambodia and allow them to chase their dreams of playing soccer with proper soccer boots! Hopefully the team would be able to hit 100 boots!
Pictures to be up later!
