ALC and many more

It's been about a week since the blog was last blogged!

So last friday, Team Republic's WST had an Abseiling session over at the ALC. Yes, Adventure Learning Center(not any Ass-Luring Center, just so you know). The session lasted over 2 hours and was led by instructors David and Wilson, who took great patience in getting the girls all warmed up and ready, before abseiling down from such a great height. It sure was something new, for those who were doing this for the first time and as for those who have done it before, was looking forward to doing it again! The girls all took turns, with 2 going down at a time. The first pair to head down was Fana and Marjory, with Marjory screaming, almost deafening David's ears but soon enough, both pair touched down and the next pair upstairs got all ready. It was a challenge especially for those who have Acrophobia, as it seemed like they weren't suspended by any rope at all while they were getting in position to abseil down. Atiqah, Yatie, Marjory, Lillian and Iffa, the 5 who found it fun, went for a 2nd round before the sky fell even darker. Surely, now everyone can become wonder spider women after learning how to abseil, hey? All thanks to David :)

Just 2 days ago, the team had their 2nd and last friendly against NUS and this time, they improved the scoreline from the previous game(0-3), with a 1-1 draw, with Atiqah hitting the score sheet for the team this time around from a 2nd ball rebound!

This week, the girls hit the court for training, with the field closed for use and their Support Team was found to be jobless this week, only able to watch the team train alongside their advisor! Their jobless state would only be temporary though as they will be helping out the team too in the coming weeks too, in both prior to POL-ITE and during the non-POL-ITE match days.

Right, so it's only 3 more days before the event and the first match begins on 15th Oct 2007, come Monday! The first match will be a tough match between 2 experienced sides, NYP and ITE and of course, Team Republic's WST will be there to watch their opponents fight it out!

In the mean time, Team Republic's WST wishes all their Muslim friends Selamat Hari Raya!
