This year's Women's Challenge Cup marks Team Republic's 2nd participation in the tournament.
With that being said, the team has made plenty of improvement jumping from a -30 Goal Difference (GD) last year to a -8 this year! Definitely a mass improvement!
The team concluded the tournament yesterday with a 5-1 win over Marine Parade CSC(The match was postponed to yesterday due to heavy rain on the scheduled 15 March). Shasha grabbed a hat trick while Yi Wen and Yatie rounded up the score. Congratulations to all 3 goal scorers!
Below are scores from the matches:
21 March - Police FC 10 Republic Polytechnic 0
28 March - ISA 3 Republic Polytechnic 0
4 Apr - CSC Marine 0 Republic Polytechnic 6
11 Apr - Police FC 3 Republic Polytechnic 1
18 Apr - ISA 4 Republic Polytechnic 0
The team would be taking a break and resume training next week.
Blog you later!

Tri tri trrrrounce!
In the past 2 weeks, the team had 2 friendlies, one against Yishun Secondary on the 20 February and another in the past week, against SMU on the 27 February.
Both friendlies were played in 3 halves, each lasting 30 minutes. Team Republic put 8 goals past Yishun Secondary with a hat trick coming from Yatie! Well done! As for the SMU friendly, Team Republic drew goaless, coming close on many occasions.
The next upcoming competiton would be the NTU Cup and Team Republic would be facing ITE in their first match! Do show your support for the team @ ITE Simei, 5pm this Friday!

...We're back!
The blog sure has been on a mysterious hiatus for awhile..but fret not we did not abandon the blog! Below we have some pictures from the December's KL trip:
The team at the hotel, decked out in green.
The boys (in blue) at their first friendly.
The girls in the bus, with all the white bright smiles
The boys, you could tell how happy they were!
The boys in their 2nd friendly match in a very muddy field...
So did Bernice...who after the match threw her socks away!
Big thank you to Mary who assisted to take the photos!
Also, before we forget...
The team took some time out to celebrate both Nas's and Nicole's (N&Ns maybe?) birthday after a very tiring training.
Happy Birthday Nas and Nicole!

What about some Fashion?
Who says soccer girls do not have a sense of fashion? They sure do! Yesterday on the 2nd day of the school's Open House, some from the team took part in the brisk walk and you've never guessed, they had newly invented socks that could be used as scarfs! They sure was outstanding among the crowd of both old and young, with some of them also donning their retro sunglasses!
Colorful for the walk, indeed!

Tis is the Season
Indeed the blog has been on a hold for awhile...because the team has been away on a their first ever overseas trip to KL! Apologies for no updates as wireless was not present over there.
But on the positive note, all are back safe and sound and reached back Singapore at 3:30pm today after a good 4 days 3 nights at KL. There was good experiences, bad experiences and there was also good fun. But one thing is for sure is that the team would not want a 2nd experience of a bad and mad muddy soccer field! It sure did annoyed everyone who got badly mud-soaked and smelly perhaps.
The end of this trip also signals the end of this season and that's a wrap, no more trainings till the new year comes around!
Pictures from the trip would be up in the next post so check back this space!
